I was born and raised in the Bay Area and earned my B.A. in Psychology from U.C. Berkeley. From there, I headed to Chicago Medical School/Finch University of Health Sciences to experience what I thought was “real weather”—only to quickly realize that it was highly overrated.
Seeking warmth (and sanity), I completed my Family Medicine residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson, where I had the privilege of serving as chief resident in my final year. By then, I had experienced enough weather extremes to last a lifetime and decided to settle in the endlessly sunny city of San Diego.
Today, I call San Diego home, where I live with my husband, our daughters, and two delightfully crazy dogs.
